Below is my public PGP key for sending encrypted email. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve sent or been sent an encrypted email, and I think all of those were just testing it to see if it worked. Still though, I think encrypted email is a great tool for enhancing privacy and should be used by everyone all the time, not just for cloak-and-dagger stuff.
Mozilla Thunderbird no natively supports PGP encryption on email since v78. You can read about how to configure and use it here.
Basically, after setting up PGP on your system and using your public key, you can send me email that can only be unencrypted by me by the use of my private key, which only I know. Similarly by using my own private key and your public key, I could send you an encrypted email that could only be read by you, and could have only been sent by me.
